Legislative Advocacy

Nonprofit Alliance staff partners with the Michigan Nonprofit Association to receive real-time information on legislative actions that affect the nonprofit sector.  These Action Alerts are sent via e-mail to MNA members and we, in turn, can post information on our website or link you to the MNA website.

In 2009, the Michigan Legislature, with the driving force of the MNA Public Policy committee established a bi-partisan Nonprofit Caucus made up of state representatives and senators who work across the legistature to insure that the nonprofit sector is considered in legislative decision-making.
