Award Program

The award ceremony takes place annually in May.  To be considered, organizations:

•             Must be a nonprofit organization under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization;

•             Must have completed a capacity building project within the last three years that was funded through the NPA Capacity Fund, local funder or from own operations;

•             Should demonstrate capacity building innovation or impact in areas such as governance, planning, fund development, communications, information technology, financial management, evaluation management, human resource development;.

•             Must be an NPA member.

In 2012, NPA celebrated the capacity building accomplishments of Charitable Union, Family Enrichment Center and Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan's Heartland.  To find out more on their projects, click the Share Your Story button on the NPA website.
