Junior League Grants Available

The Junior League of Battle Creek is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Their current area of focus is on issues affecting women and children in our community.  Understanding that collaboration between organizations is a vital part of a healthy community; they are in a position to make two grants, each in the amount of $2500.00, to non-profit organizations with like-minded missions.  If you feel that the needs of your organization align with and could be served by the Junior League of Battle Creek, please consider completing the attached grant application.

  • Grant applications must be received by April 5, 2012.
  • Grant applicants will be notified via mail no later than April 27, 2012 as to the status of their application.
  • Attendance at our “May Celebration” on May 5, 2012 is requested.
  • Grant monies should not be used for general operating budgets and should be applied to your organization’s 2012-2013 fiscal year.
  • A copy of your organization’s IRS 501 (c) (3) Determination Letter should be included with your application.
  • Application must be complete for consideration.
  • Required to come as a guest to a General Membership Meeting in April 2013 to report grant fund usage.
