Telling your nonprofit story can be enlightening, empowering and engaging. Here is an opportunity to
let others know how you are achieving success in our community.
Story content must be on one of the following:
1) Success with the organization’s capacity building efforts – Share what issue or challenge your
organization faced, the type of strategy you used to address the challenge and what change took place
as a result of implementing the strategy. The change could be with an individual, the organization,
clients or the community.
2) Success with a social change strategy – Share how your organization’s program(s) address a key
community issue, the strategies your organization uses to address root causes of an issue, how you
engage clients/residents in implementing strategies toward solutions, and demonstrated success as a
result of the program strategies.
3) Success with a partnership or collaboration – Share how your organization engaged in a partnership or collaboration with another nonprofit, for- profit, government entity, program, neighborhood group, etc. What was the project or initiative? What organizational or community need were you trying to address? Who were the partners and why? What change or impact did the partnership or collaboration have on your organization and/or the community?
